Terms of service
Last updated October 30, 2026
These terms cover your use of Pressetter, the Google Docs add-on and the website at pressetter.com, operated by [OPERATOR NAME] (“we”). By installing or using Pressetter you agree to them.
What Pressetter does
Pressetter reads a Google Docs manuscript and creates book files from it: a paperback interior PDF and a Kindle eBook (EPUB). It checks the files against Amazon KDP’s published requirements. Pressetter isn’t affiliated with, or endorsed by, Amazon or Google.
Free preview and licenses
- Free preview. Without a license, you can run the check and export a watermarked paperback PDF.
- Single-book license. Lets you export final files for one manuscript: the Google Doc you first export with the key. You can edit and re-export that manuscript as often as you like, for as long as Pressetter is offered.
- Unlimited license. Lets you export final files for any number of manuscripts.
Licenses are for one person, you, the author or publisher of the books you export. Don’t share or resell your license key. A license gives you the right to use Pressetter; it doesn’t transfer any ownership of the software.
Payment and refunds
Licenses are a one-time payment, sold through Lemon Squeezy, which acts as reseller and merchant of record. If you’re not satisfied, email support@pressetter.com within 30 days of purchase for a full refund. Refunded license keys are disabled.
Your book is yours
You keep all rights to your manuscript and to the files Pressetter makes from it. You give us permission only to process your manuscript to create those files, as described in our privacy policy. You’re responsible for having the rights to publish what you export, including any images and quotations.
The fonts built into Pressetter are licensed under the SIL Open Font License, which allows them to be embedded in the books you sell.
Acceptable use
Don’t use Pressetter to break the law, to infringe anyone’s rights, or to attack, overload or reverse-engineer our service, and don’t try to get around the license checks.
Check your proof
We work hard to produce files that meet KDP’s requirements, but we can’t guarantee that Amazon or any other retailer will accept a particular book, and we don’t control their rules. Always review your files and order a printed proof before publishing. You’re responsible for the final content and appearance of your book.
Changes to the service
We may improve, change or stop parts of Pressetter. If we ever shut Pressetter down, we’ll give at least 60 days’ notice on this website so you can export your books.
Disclaimer and limit of liability
Pressetter is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind beyond those the law requires. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses (such as lost sales or printing costs), and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for Pressetter in the twelve months before the claim.
Ending
You can stop using Pressetter at any time. We may suspend a license that is shared, resold or used to break these terms.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of [STATE], United States, except where the law of your country gives you consumer rights that can’t be waived.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we’ll update the date at the top. Changes don’t take away rights you’ve already paid for.
